We have this in the guest bathroom for, especially our grandson, who really likes the Perfectawash for washing his face. The concept of an automatic dispenser, I think, encourages kids to clean their faces more often which is great for blemishes. I remember when I was a kid it was embarrassing, lots of other kids had the same problem. My mom would always remind me to wash my face. This is just a quiet reminder in the bathroom and it does get used when they spend time with us. Our grandson says he knows Cearasil works for him. I use it at times when I wash my hands, does a great job without having to use a bar of soap. It is easy to set up and use, the batteries are already installed. I suppose this isn't a product you really need, but once you use it, the convenience of the automatic dispenser that gives you the right amount of cleanser is pretty cool. The dispenser itself looks sleek and stylish on your bathroom countertop compared to a regular bottle of acne wash. I like Clearasil cleanser and the way it helps clear up skin quickly without overdrying, even for sensitive skin. The green one has aloe and is soothing and the superfruit is berry fresh. Both have 2% salicylic acid as the active ingredient. The two bottles are enough for 200 washes; not bad for the price. It takes 3 AA batteries. (Included in dispenser) I usually turn the switch to "off" after using so I don't accidentally motion activate it when I move the dispenser. I think this would be a useful product for teens or anyone with acne prone skin. The automatic dispenser is convenient, but if you keep it next to the sink faucet, it may dispense product when you turn the water on (I've had this happen three times-the sensor is sensitive), so I turn the switch to "off" to prevent the wash from landing in the sink while I brush my teeth. I have the fruit wash in the dispenser currently, and it lathers well though smells a little odd to me, not fruity at all. I haven't noticed any real difference in my skin, which could mean that the acne like blemishes I am seeing on my face are more weather related, let alone the visible difference in as little as 12 hours as the packaging touts. Maybe I'll let my acne-faced teen daughter try this, and see if there is a difference in her skin's condition.
